Do your UV Cable Ties come
in different colors?
Our complete offering of UV cable ties is black.
What applications can cable
ties be used for?
They are designed to specifically to bundle wire or cable during installation.
However, they may be used in many other applications of bundling items.
Can you make custom cable
ties for my application?
Unfortunately, we cannot design custom cable ties as it is cost prohibitive.
What variety of materials
are the cable ties available in?
All of our cable ties are made of 6-6 Nylon.
Do
you offer Tube Benders?
No, all benders that we offer are designed to bend conduit. Conduit
is measured from inside diameter, while tubing is measured from outside
diameter.
Do
you offer benders that can make offset bends other than the No Dog™
Offset Bender, part # BOS57?
All of our benders are capable of bending offsets. The No Dog™
leg bender is for the smaller size conduit. It bends up to _ "IMC
and Rigid and up to _" EMT.
Which
benders can the Bend-Mate™ Bender Table, part # BE400, be used
with?
It is designed to be used with the Eegor® benders, B400 and B400L.
When ordering a table for the Ultra Eegor®, part # B400L, be sure
to order the Cylinder Support, part # CS400.
Does
the Bend-Mate™ Bender Table, part # BE400, come with the B400?
No, it is a separate option.
Can
the PE34J and PE34R pumps be transposed for any pump application?
Yes.
What
is the difference between your PE34J and PE34R pumps?
The J series has a manual switch to change directions and the R series
is automatic with the push of a button.
Can
I lock the Tool-Gard™ Metal Storage Box?
Yes, we recommended using a Master Lock™ #5.
Do
I have to purchase the Cylinder Support, Part # CS400, if I purchase
a Bend-Mate ™ Bender Table, part # BE400?
You must purchase the Cylinder Support, part # CS400, if you order the
Ultra Eegor™, part # B400L.

We do sell replacements ends for steel fish tapes. Unfortunately, we
do not for our fiberglass or nylon fish tapes.
Do
you sell replacement steel tapes?
Yes, we offer replacements steel tapes with the curled end.
Do
you sell replacement handles for the Cable Snake™ fish tapes?
No.
What

| Wire-Aide™ | 28° F - 150° F |
| Poly-Gel™ | 28° F - 150° F |
| All Season Poly-Gel | -10° F - 150° F |
| Super-Slick™ | 28° F - 150° F |
What
is the tensile strength of your pull rope?
When you purchase or rate rope for applications it should be based on
working load not tensile strength (breaking point).

I would like to
purchase a 1” punch set. Do I need a converter?
No, the converter KC3540 is used with a 3 1/2” – 4” punch
and die only.
Can a GB punch be
used with a Greenlee die and vice-versa?
Yes, every punch and/or die is interchangeable with the exception of
the 3/8” and the 3/4”.
What is the highest
and lowest gauge steel we can punch with GB products.
12-gauge stainless and up to 10-gauge mild steel.

Do the WireTracker™
models work on plaster walls?
Yes, they work on all types of material other than metal. Always make
sure the wire being followed is not shielded or energized.
Does the Volt-Doctor®,
part # GVC-300, read amps? Can it be used in an auto application?
The Volt-Doctor® does not read amps (current). This unit would not
be used in automobile applications because it reads DC voltage from
120-600 while car voltages typically range 12-24 VDC.
Do you offer any meters
that can be used in auto applications?
Auto applications typically range from 12-24 VDC. Therefore all of our
meters can be used because they read the low-end DC voltages.
I have a clamp meter and
want to read the current on my appliance in my home. How can I do this?
In order to read current on home appliances you must use a line splitter.
We suggest using the GB #GCM-LS Line Splitter to separate the hot from
the neutral. This unit works with all of our clamp meters for this type
of application.
I have a Circuit Tracker,
part # GET-1200 and at times it seems to read more than one circuit.
What am I doing wrong?
This device is very sensitive. It is very important that you hold the
wand parallel to the breaker as it states on the package. If more than
one breaker still seems to be reading positive, slowly slide the wand
away from each of breakers that are showing positive readings. The signal
will stay stronger at the actual breaker that is tied to the transmitter.
I have a Digital Multi-meter.
How Do I check continuity?
Continuity or resistance is a measurement to detect how well one point
is connected electrically to another. This unit of measurement is called
an Ohm.
On your meter, you will see 6 settings: 20M, 2M, 200K, 20K, 2K, 200, and a symbol that looks like an arrow. (Disregard this setting for now)
Each one of theses settings represents the highest measurement the meter can read, this is done basically by moving the decimal point on the display. (The multiplier)
Unless you are checking electronic components like diodes, resistors, potentiometers, all theses settings are the same.
Lead placement: Red lead goes in the Omega symbol (ohms) Black lead goes in the black hole (it remains here throughout all the dial settings)
Dial settings: Any of the settings in the lower right hand corner “box” with the Omega symbol. I recommend the 200 setting (it is a setting un affected by the touch of you fingers)
Procedure: If the leads are not touching anything a -1 will appear, if you touch the points together a reading of close to zero will show; this means zero resistance. When a fuse is placed between the probes if a -1 appears the fuse is bad. If a number close to zero appears the fuse is good.
Caution!!! In the Ohm setting DO NOT put the Leads on a circuit that has power applied to it If this happens the fuse in the meter will be damaged.
I have a Digital Multi-meter. How Do I check AC Voltage?
- Be sure the dial is set to the OFF position.
- Insert the BLACK test lead into the COM hole (Center) of the meter. The BLACK lead will remain here always.
- Insert the RED lead into the hole labeled with a V.
- Locate the RED V with a wave symbol above it.
- Turn the dial on the meter to the right to the RED 600
- Turn the dial on the meter to the right to the RED 200
- Taking extreme caution Insert the lead ends into the energized socket. Do not allow the metal probes to make contact with each other or yourself. This may cause injury to you, the meter and the circuitry.
- Read display, note readings.
- Remove leads.
- Return meter dial to OFF position.
I have a Digital Multi-meter. How Do I check DC Voltage?
- Be sure the dial is set to the OFF position.
- Insert the BLACK test lead into the COM hole (Center) of the meter. The BLACK lead will remain here always.
- Insert the RED lead into the hole labeled with a V.
- Locate the BLACK V with a Solid line and broken line on the right side of meter.
- Always begin with the highest setting and go down. 6. Turn the dial on the meter to the appropriate voltage setting beginning with the 200.
- The BLACK numbers under the black V represent the highest reading that the meter can read.
- For example: to measure a flashlight battery, 1.5 volt, you would use the 2 setting on the meter as 1.5 is less than 2. To measure a 9 volt battery the 2 setting is too low so the 20 setting would be the appropriate setting.
- Note: The meter in the 20 position can only read between 2 and 20. If the reading is less than 2, at this setting, the meter will read the voltage to the 100th of a volt (.01). If the voltage is higher than 20 volts the meter will read a [-1] or [OL]. Both symbols mean over load, and you need to change the setting.
- Use the same instructions for voltages between the 20 and the 200 volt settings.
- Read display, note readings.
- Remove leads.
- Return meter dial to OFF position.
